Pete Puts the “Mule” in Muleshoe
He’s been to Washington D.C., and some call him the most famous Muleshoe resident. He’s Ol’ Pete and he’s the “Mule” in Muleshoe. But he hasn’t stayed in this town all of his life. Ol’ Pete was invited to Washington. D.C. for President George W. Bush’s inauguration back in 2001. He led the inaugural parade atop the Texas Float. You see the National Mule Memorial Statue as you drive through the town of Muleshoe off Highway 84
